Dancers with Tap Shoes




  • Tuition includes 4 weeks of dance classes.

  • Holidays and studio closures are NOT included in the 4-week period. Please see payment schedule for details.

  • Tuition for dance classes is due before or on the 3rd of each month.

  • We do not mail statements. Tuition reminders will be sent monthly to your email on file.

  • You are not financially committed to the entire dance season. However, once tuition has been paid AND your dancer has attended the first class of the month, TUITION IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

  • Students will not be allowed to continue classes if their account is delinquent for more than 30 days.

  • Mandatory Volunteer Hours (5 each season)


  • To ensure the success of each dancer, consistent participation is highly encouraged and required. Failure to meet participation requirements may result in dismissal from the program or adjustment in class level.

  • Guardians are responsible for directly communicating absences to Access to Motion Dance Company instructors. 

  • Any student that misses 3 consecutive weeks or more may be required to forfeit their class space.

  • Showcase participation for the dance season: More than 9 absences within a dance season will result in removal from the class piece. More than 2 absences within the last 4 weeks leading up to the season’s recital will result in removal from the class piece.

  • Make-up classes:

-  It is the sole responsibility of each dancer to stay engaged in and up-to-date on dance techniques, terminology, and class work missed.

-  Upon request, dancers may meet with the instructor one-on-one to ask questions, review, etc. 

-  There are no refunds for missed classes, nor can missed classes be applied to subsequent months’ tuition.


  • All requests for schedule changes and/or dropping classes must be made in writing. Requests may be sent to

  • All requests must be made at least 14 days in advance. Exceptions may be made for special circumstances. Please contact Access to Motion Dance Company or your dancer’s instructor directly for further questions.

  • All fees are due until the office is notified of any class(es) being dropped.

  • If your dancer has attended the first class of the month, tuition is non-refundable when dropping a class. However, if you would like to drop a class before your dance has attended the first class of the month, tuition may be refunded.


Access to Motion Dance Company knows that mistakes happen. As a parent or guardian, we invite you to bring these mistakes or misunderstandings to our attention. However, in doing so, we ask that you use discretion when addressing these issues with us. We want to maintain a positive learning environment for all of our students; therefore, we implore you to conduct any conversations, sensitive and private in matter, outside of class time. If an issue needs to be addressed, please contact Access to Motion Dance Company directly via email. If the matter involves other parents or dancers, please resolve the issue independently or make an appointment with your instructor to curate a solution. Angry dialog, foul language, and physical threats will not be tolerated. Parents and/or dancers who display this type of behavior may be asked to no longer participate in classes with Access to Motion Dance Company. Please remember that these rules are for the safety and comfort of ALL dancers. 



• Promptness is extremely important!

• Dancers need to be physically and mentally prepared for the demands of dance class.

• We recommend arriving early in order to get a drink, go to the bathroom, get warmed up, and be dressed properly.

• Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late may be asked to observe class.


When you dance with us at our studio, we want you to have fun! Our goal is to always make learning dance technique and strong work ethics exciting and interesting. In return, we expect all dancers to show respect to themselves, each other, and all instructors. When you are in class, your instructor will enforce the following expectations:

  • Be prepared for class. Proper dress code is required for all dance classes.

  • Be on time.

  • Hair must be pulled up.

  • Use the bathroom prior to class.

  • Do not have frequent class absences. 

  • No cell phones in class.

  • No gum in class.

  • Be respectful and kind to instructors, peers, and staff.

  • No talking during class unless you are asking or answering a question.

  • Practice safe and thoughtful behavior to protect yourself and your classmates.

  • Be willing to try new dance material – help your classmates and instructor maintain positive energy in class!

  • No leaning, lounging, or hanging on the ballet barres. Absolutely NO SITTING in class.

  • Clap at the end of class to thank your instructor.

  • If late, ask permission to join class.

  • If injured, tell your instructor prior to class. Remember to work slowly and carefully or observe.

  • If feeling ill, please do not come to class.

  • If you need to leave early, notify your instructor before class begins.

  • Before you leave the studio, change out of your dance shoes and put on your street shoes.


  • The use of alcohol and/or drugs is strictly forbidden at Access to Motion Dance Company.

  • As an older dancer and role model to younger dancers, inappropriate conversations or negative discussions are not tolerated in front of your younger peers.

  • It is your responsibility to manage your time so that dance, schoolwork, and other outside activities do not conflict with each other.
